A world of Smoke & Ash!

I’ve talked about it for months: a brand new collection of short stories from across the MHP Universe. Today, Smoke and Ash arrives with hours of adventure for your reading pleasure! This new anthology collects eleven stories from across the spectrum of my writing PLUS two all new stories never seen by anyone before this release!

The book kicks off with “Smoke and Mirrors” which introduces a new young heroine with an important place in the future of the universe. Audra Galloway stumbles into the middle of an awful crime, one that leaves her forever changed and with powers she must learn to understand if she hopes to live!

It closes with “Ashes of a Dark God” a story set sometime and somewhere in the Dark Ages. And while that term might not be as well used in modern scholarship, the Dark Ages truly fits the age when the warrior women Ash walked the Earth. This period of history in the MHP Universe abounds with myth and magic, but also brutality and barbarism. Readers can get their first view of this period in this tale, but can rest assured it will be far from the last.

Between those two stories, readers can find older stories from yours truly, dating back over a decade in the cases of “UFO” and “The Arrival.” Back in 2013, I endeavored to release 52 stories over the course of the year. “Citrine in Tunguska”, “Summer of Love”, “Mad Maddie”, “Atomic Werewolf” and “Past Prologue” all have their origins in that year. “The Second Life of D.B. Cooper” and “Heroes Don’t Retire” originated in the Pen and Cape Society’s The Good Fight series of anthologies, though volume two which originally contained my first tale of D.B. Cooper has long been out of print. “Last Breath” and “Aquamarine” are more recent tales, both with origins in the last couple years and originally released on my now defunct Patreon.

All in all, I’ve brought thirteen of my tales together for the first time in almost 200 pages of super powered action. I’m incredibly proud of these stories, both new and old. I look forward to bringing them to audiences, new and old.
